ZOMG Real Land For Inchvestors! The Recovery Colony In Detroit

Hokay. So. The property auction in Detroit requires a post and analysis of it’s own because it was so crazy. It covered thousands of foreclosed properties in the city and the format of the auction — how you actually see and understand what’s available, and how you have to wait for hours and hours and hours in person to bid on anything — is, shall we say, sub-optimal. I lost the bid on the first property I wanted to get, the one in Delray where the demon robot Zug pops out at the end of this video (a representative from an unknown company was there to buy up the whole street and I couldn’t compete). BUT! I picked up and now own the first official LOVELAND property for $500, a 30’ x 104’ vacant lot that you can see here, which I’m naming Recovery (funny thing is I still need to find out exactly where it starts and stops — analog property is weird! :)).

So right now the plan is to work on how the property will be formatted and to tie it into a story line. Before anything happens there the Plymouth colony still needs to be filled in. People who get into Plymouth will have special privileges to travel between subsequent LOVELAND colonies, and I need to raise more money before I can do much with Recovery.

I just posted a new inchvestment round on Kickstarter with a 576 inch goal (4 square feet) which will push Plymouth over the 1/2 way point. Click here to move in for $1 an inch and spread the news, things are about to get interestinger…
